Hello and welcome to my website! I'm Eric Volkin, an artist from Studio 16 at The Mill Contemporary Art in Framingham’s historic Saxonville Mills.

Ever since I was a young child, I loved to draw and paint. I improved my skills throughout high school and college and received many awards along the way. Today, I continue to express myself through art and I'm excited to share my passion with my clients and the rest of the world.

Our hands-on workshops in pastel, watercolor and charcoal are small, relaxed and personal. You’ll learn real techniques, try new materials, and leave with something you made yourself.

How did you become an artist?

My earliest influences came from my mother and aunt, both of whom painted in oils and acrylics. I was naturally drawn to watercolors from a young age, especially during summers spent on Cape Cod painting seascapes at my grandmother’s cottage.

Where can I see your work?

I'm always sharing new examples of my work on my website, social media and at various art exhibits throughout the city. You can also visit my studio at the Mill Contemporary Art.

Is your artwork available for purchase?

Yes, my artwork is available for purchase. I offer original pieces and commission work directly from the studio. You can view and purchase them during visits or special events. If you're interested in a specific piece, feel free to get in touch, and I’ll be happy to provide more details or arrange a private viewing.

How can I hire you to create a custom piece of art?

Do you offer art lessons?

Yes. I offer both private and group lessons for both adults and children.

Is Studio 16 open to the public?

Yes! I’m excited to welcome the community into my space. You’re welcome to stop by during public events, workshops, or by appointment. Some events may require registration

Yes, reserving your spot in advance is required to ensure your time in the studio is confirmed and personalized. After receiving confirmation, you can rest assured that your session is secured. To reserve, simply submit a Plan Your Visit form.
